  • In 2024, non-energy exports increased by 0.9%, while energy exports decreased by nearly 8%.
  • The trade deficit decreased by 0.7% to 40,276 million euros. The energy trade deficit continued its downward trend, falling by 8% in 2024 compared to 2023, reducing by over 2,600 million euros.
  • The trade surplus with the European Union reached 30,285.4 million euros in 2024, marking 14 consecutive years of surplus.
  • The food sector reached historic highs in 2024, with a surplus of over 18,044 million euros.
  • The base of regular exporters over 1,000 euros grew: increasing by nearly 5% annually in 2024 and reaching almost 46,000 regular exporters. 
  • In addition, the trade deficit with the United States increased in 2024, surpassing 10,000 million euros.
