Desde que Ouigo comenzó a ofrecer servicios en el corredor sur en enero, 34 millones de viajeros han podido elegir entre tres compañías (Renfe, Iryo y Ouigo) y cuatro marcas comerciales (AVE, Avlo, Iryo y Ouigo) para sus viajes en tres corredores de alta velocidad: Madrid-Andalucía, Madrid-Levante y Madrid-Barcelona.
En el primer trimestre de 2025, el corredor Madrid-Sevilla contabilizó 1,4 millones de viajeros (+23 % interanual) y el Madrid-Málaga 1,2 millones de viajeros (+14 % interanual), según los datos de la CNMC (INF/DTSP/042/25).
También aumentaron los viajeros del corredor Madrid-Alicante (+17 %), de Madrid-Barcelona (+4 %) y de Madrid-Valencia (+3 %). En total, durante el primer trimestre hubo 10,2 millones de viajeros en la alta velocidad comercial, un 19 % más que en el mismo trimestre del año anterior [1].
Cuotas de mercado
Durante su primer trimestre en el corredor sur, Ouigo obtuvo un 9 % de los viajeros del Madrid-Málaga/Granada y un 11 % del Madrid-Sevilla.
Renfe Viajeros lideró en cuota de mercado con el 64 % de los viajeros en el corredor Madrid-Sevilla y el 70 % en Madrid-Málaga/Granada. Iryo logró una cuota del 24 % en el Madrid-Sevilla y del 21 % en el Madrid-Málaga/Granada.
El mejor aprovechamiento de los trenes [2] se consiguió en el trayecto Madrid-Barcelona (78 %) y el peor en los corredores a Levante (65 %). En los corredores a Andalucía, empeoró con el incremento de oferta (Madrid-Sevilla 71 % y Madrid-Málaga/Granada 67 %).
Billetes más baratos
Los precios [3] recogidos por la CNMC reflejaron bajadas interanuales importantes en los trayectos donde Ouigo ha empezado a ofrecer servicios: Madrid-Sevilla (-18 %) y Madrid-Málaga (-17 %).
Un descenso similar se dio en el corredor Madrid-Alicante (-19 %), mientras que en el Madrid-Valencia bajaron un 10 % y en el Madrid-Barcelona se mantuvieron.
The average revenue of all operators (approximation of the real average price) slightly increased on the Madrid-Barcelona route (+2%) and remained stable on the Madrid-Valencia route (+0.3%).

**Medium Distance and Suburban**
The number of suburban passengers increased by 2% year-on-year, while conventional Medium Distance passengers decreased by 7%. Both services have been 100% subsidized since the summer of 2022.
Passengers on High-Speed Medium Distance trains, subsidized by 50%, increased by 4%. Conventional Long-Distance services saw a 14% decrease in passengers.
**Freight Transport**
There was a 1% increase in net tonne-kilometers. Despite being a modest increase, it is the first since 2022. Renfe Mercancías had the largest market share (39%), followed by Captrain (20%), Medway and Continental (12%), and Transfesa (5%).
